WORK

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SPEND FOUR YEARS AT UNIVERSITY AND YOUR PORTFOLIO DOESN'T REFLECT THE WORK YOU WANT TO DO?

Problem Statement: my current portfolio work does not represent my interest and interdisciplinary work nor, fulfill my creative ambitions.

Solution: complete a series of design challenges compiled in a comprehensive workbook documenting a variety of disciplines.

Goal: this workbook aims to promote curiosity and experimentation in projects you love.

EAT REAL

  • The first package titled Fruit Fight, demonstrates the energetic and imaginative creativity, shown in youth. By using fun iconography and vibrant colours.

In contrast, our second package, Back to Our Roots carries another one of Eat Real’s missions to connect schools with farm-to-table meals.

Concluding this project, each team of interns had the opportunity to present our work to Nora LaTorre, the CEO of Eat Real, and Klick’s Chief Creative Officer, Rich Levy. Notably, our work for Fruit Fight was chosen as the leading branding to be used in future work.

10,000 TREEs

At the core of this visual narrative is 10,000 Trees' dedication to Ontario's ecosystem, the symbiotic relationship between community and nature, and a grassroots, volunteer-driven movement.

RIFAI RE-BRANDING

Designed with Caitlyn Gass

When undertaking this project, our aim was to fill a gap by offering versatile design elements applicable to all their product lines. To achieve this, we introduced a distinctive pattern that also embodies one of Rifai's core values: Lebanese heritage.

ILLUSTRATION

OUTER WORLDLY

Created using Adobe Illustrator

This project captures an ordinary object's transformation into a surreal and otherworldly visual encounter. By dismantling the internal components of a Casio watch, I constructed a unique environment that skillfully manipulates the concept of time, as evidenced by the repeated presence of various characters within the artwork.

Object Identification

Object Understanding

Drawing in Procreate, I studied each of the components of my Casio watch gaining an understanding of the construction.

Concept Ideation

Now with knowledge of each of the watches components I created two new objects: a clock and teddy bear.

Line Drawing

The first step of taking this project into Adobe Illustrator was creating a line drawing using the pen tool.

Detailed Sketch

Completing a detailed sketch gave a solid understanding of each form’s perspective and lighting positioning.

Final Illustration

This project significantly expanded my proficiency in Adobe Illustrator as I ventured into a highly intricate illustration style more commonly associated with Photoshop. Utilizing the gradient tool, I created several shading layers to enhance the depth and dimension of the artwork.
